Description
Every temple in India has three important aspects, The place, the Tirtha (Sacred Water Bodies), The Vruksha (Sacred Tree). The Tirtha among the three has a great significance. There are large scale spiritual fairs devoted to the divine water bodies like Kumbha Mela in Northern India, Pushkar of various sacred rivers and the Maha-Makham Festival in Kumbakonam in southern India. There has not been adequate documentation on the sacred temple water bodies. This Volume aims to fill the gap and document the important sacred water bodies, the mythology and various spiritual and medicinal aspects related to these water bodies. This unique volume will provide a fresh insight to the reader on the commonly overlooked Sacred Water Bodies.
